There was a time when I thought we really had nation states that had plucky leaders taking on the rogue mafia families behind money creation. Less so these days as that last high of hopium becomes a memory and I am in the 12 step program called reality. I don’t scream in this song - I leave that for the synth bass at the end but there is a preacher on a pulpit buried in the ‘ah ah’s at the end of the song praying for mercy. Mercy for our body-mind life and mercy for the souls of those so lost in materialism that they are happy to walk on our faces to have more of what will NOT make them happy.
